
School Information
More than 3,400 students from the diverse communities of Oak Park and River Forest, Ill., are enrolled in this single-school district, located about nine miles west of downtown Chicago and Lake Michigan. We offer more than 200 academically rigorous courses in nine academic divisions at transition, college preparatory, honors, and Advanced Placement levels. Believing that involvement in co-curricular activities is a way to further engage and support students in their academic pursuits, we offer 75 clubs and activities, as well as 29 competitive athletic teams named the Huskies, after our school mascot, the Siberian Huskie. A comprehensive public high school, we prepare our students for post-secondary success, with a graduation rate of 93%. Oak Park and River Forest High School is a founding member of the Minority Student Achievement Network.
