Tutoring Center

The OPRFHS Tutoring Center is located in Rm. 293 is open to all students for academic support. Students come to the Tutoring Center to work directly with tutors, use computers, complete assignments and utilize material resources in the center. Students are also able to serve “Plasco” issued detentions before and/or after school, only, completing coursework and/or working with a tutor. Students may also fulfill assigned study table requirements before, during or after school by using the center for work completion and/or working directly with a tutor.

The tutoring staff consists of content-area teachers, staff, and community and peer volunteers. Tutors help students improve content understanding, as well as develop and learn to apply skills in their courses. Tutors also help students develop effective strategies for completing course-related assignments.
All students who use the center must have a school ID.

The Tutoring Center is open:

  • Monday – Thursday
    7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Fridays
    7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

     
  • The center also is open and staffed during late-start Wednesdays, beginning at 7:00 a.m.
